Whenever
a need arose on a project for a particular type of hardware that
just couldn't be found, Rocky Mountain Hardware
of Ketchum, Idaho, created it. From this beginning the company
created a new line of hardware: a simple, handcrafted look that
would work equally well in a rustic log home, a Mediterranean
style villa, a French country house or a more contemporary southwest-style
project.
The
company evolved from custom door hardware work to a line of escutcheons,
knobs and levers. The company developed a unique spring-assisted
escutcheon system that overcame the common problem of levers that
sag and lose the ability to latch accurately. New product lines
came into being to address demand for similar quality throughout
a construction – cabinet and window hardware, mult-point hardware,
and later sinks and plumbing fixtures.
As
for the future, Rocky Mountain Hardware will
continue to use their original guideline: listening to customers'
requests.
